On April 1st, The Monadnock kicked off a membership campaign termed "pre-launch period" in order to build a successful launch with approximately 120 members on August 1st 2008. With your help, we can do that. Members must be businesses or non-profit organizations that serve this region, including professional services, home businesses, Internet businesses, MLM opportunities, and more.
The content advantage for this site is that the articles are written and published by organizations in the Monadnock region, and not by a third party publisher. Organizations can say exactly what they need to say directly to you from their own perspectives. It's real - not editorial fluff, and there are no "space" constraints - therefore members can write an unlimited number of articles, create an unlimited number of web pages, upload an unlimited number of images, post an unlimited number of classified (with full display) ads, specials, editorials, press releases, and so forth.

Between now and
August 1st of this year we are working to build our membership base to
provide you with the finest overall Internet value found anywhere. The
content is changing, slowly at first as members sign in and adjust to new habits,
but as momentum builds, this site will surely be a vibrant resource for
you and your family, friends, and neighbors.
As both membership and traffic increases, we will be adding new features and expanding our services network.

There is no other service that compares to The Monadnock anywhere. Period.
Other Web Sites
1. No other Web site focuses on the businesses and non-profit organizations in the Monadnock region - from boy scouts, to churches, retreat centers, beauty salons, art galleries - we exist to reflect the region's (entire organizational) heartbeat, from an organizational (not a public) perception.
2. No other Web site is exclusive to those entities serving the cities and towns of the Monadnock region with publishing rights and without promotional constraints, thus building an effective B2B network (with instant messaging, by the way).
3. No other Web site has a self-funded proposition that you can actually profit by, and pay for additional advertising credits as well.
4. No other Web site offers "co-op advertising" credits for advertising in other media, like newspapers and radio.
5. No other Web site offers a live interactive 500 seat conference room for its members to use publicly or privately.
6. No other Web site places you in a directory and links your directory to an onboard "storefront" and your web site.
7. No other Web site allows you to create an unlimited number of Web pages and gives you the tools to do it with ease.
8. No other Web site offers free unlimited classifieds (with display capabilities - unlimited pics, and text).
9. No other Web site gives you an open (cloaked) email response system to communicate without attracting spammers.
10. No other Web site gives you online and offline technical training and support individually and in a group environment.
Isn't the added value in the "exclusivity benefits" alone worth the average price of a daily "medium cup of coffee"?
1. Price
Membership is self-funding for those who talk it up. We pay a $50 referral fee back to any member who refers a new paid member. On an annual membership, 10 referrals would more than cover membership costs (13 on a monthly pay).
a. Group Enrollment - The referral fee is paid to the sponsoring enrollment agency or non-profit group (in the case of an association promotion), and an additional $50.00 discount is paid to the new member as an incentive to sign up through the group. An enrollment agency receives their own membership free with the first ten sign-ups, so their membership becomes self-funded immediately. What group with 100 members couldn't use an extra $5,000 annually (with matching benefits to members), plus a free online marketing portal, while showing added public relations and promotional value to their members?
This self-funding provision effectively responds to ability to pay - but doesn't address the value question - and that leads us to the next question regarding education.
2. Education
It is obvious that business owners (once educated) will feel that the added value in the "exclusivity benefits" of The Monadnock alone is worth the average price of a daily "medium cup of coffee"...but just in case some are still not convinced...

The Monadnock Area Business Community (themonadnock.com) is a more efficient way for us, as local organizations, to publish and promote our respective organizations, while communicating more effectively with you. There are great advantages for all of us to have a role in the development of this regional online community.
TheMonadnock.com is the only regional site that is designed as a collaborative portal for the local and regional business/organizational community. We share (the Shopping Mall effect) full direct access to our local patrons and residents online. One business may drive a surfer into our site, but the surfer may establish communication with any of our members while visiting.
We are able to communicate faster, without time and space constraints (such as with radio and newspaper), and we are able to do so much more while saving precious cash in our overall marketing and advertising expenses, and boosting the value of our overall promotional campaigns. Less overhead for us – translates into better deals for you!
