The Past
The first Monadnock community site began in 2004 and ran for two years on "themonadnock.org" domain. It  was built to support the local church community with a mission to build unity among Christian churches in the Monadnock area.

This was the first local "special interest niche" community - and it reflected the inexperience of all of us who were a part of it. It was the vision of Net2Church Global Ministries (made up of local volunteers) to build a church community information hub for the general public who might be seeking those services. The project was put on hold to launch a new community that would include both business and non-profit groups, and would accommodate a church community connection.

The Present
For the new April 2008 pre-launch, we have boosted up the cost of membership (to $497), reflecting our commitment and investment to this four year project. When we launch this site (which means that we begin our marketing campaign) on August 1st, we hope to record over 100,000 hits in our first 30 days, as compared with 10,000 when we launched in 2006.

We hope to encourage 120 local leaders to join us during the pre-launch period, as those early membership purchases cover the cost of that multi-media advertising that helps to create public awareness and curiosity necessary to "create" new traffic - without relying on traditional Internet marketing methods that only "drive" traffic.

The Future
New Hampshire will be foot-printed with seven area business communities. All of New England should be covered by 2015 with about 40 regional business communities connected to one another.

Each community is considered a "geographical niche" community that enables business and non-profit groups to better serve their region from one central online hub, and each community will eventually feature local  "special interest niche" communities associated with them. For example, there could be an auto racing community, or motorcycle riders community, or equestrian community, etc.

These special interest community sites will be featured on "MyMonadnock.com" when they are launched. My Monadnock will serve as the local "social community networking hub" and will be joined with "The Monadnock" network of local organizations as an "add-on", though it will also stand alone, and the two sites will be bridged together like departments in a store. All special interest niche communities will be provided and hosted by TalkRite Communications.

The next new TalkRite Community Network geographical niche site has not been determined yet. Partnering with other IT professionals in other geographical regions is essential to the overall success of this expansion, and requires a commitment of time and passion for community service. We will keep you posted as new communities go into pre-launch, and special interest niche communities are created.
